Glade Creek, West Virginia
Trekking through the forest around Glade Creek in mid fall was amazing — quiet, colorful and soothing. This day had a special feel, I could hear the faint sounds of running water so I altered my course to this direction. It led me to this intimate location where it all came together. A delicate stream cascaded over a natural terrace and peaking fall leaves framed the shot perfectly. I carefully composed the shot needing a long exposure to maintain focus throughout the entire image and a polarizer to reduce the glare of the scene.
